BLACKBERRY

Blackberry 9000, 9500, 9530 Storm



  1. Insert any sim card

  2. Scroll and select "Manage connections"

  3. Select "Turn all connections off"

  4. Press "Escape" to go back to the "Home" screen

  5. Go to "Options" menu and select "Advanced options"

  6. Select "SIM card"

  7. Select "Show keyboard"

  8. Hold the ALT key while typing MEPD. You will not see text appear on screen while typing. This opens up a personalization menu

  9. Hold the ALT key while typing MEP2. You will not see text appear on screen while typing
    Press ALT and simultaneously to get number 2.


  10. You should be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code"

  11. Enter supplied unlock code

  12. After entering the code press the trackball once

  13. Restart your phone and restore connections by following the first two steps

  14. Your phone is unlocked


 


Blackberry 8230 Curve



  1. Press the "menu" key

  2. Scroll and select "Manage connections"

  3. Select "Turn all connections off"

  4. Press "Escape" to go back to the "Home" screen

  5. Go to "Options" menu and select "Advanced options"

  6. Select "SIM card"

  7. Hold the ALT key while typing MEPD. You will not see text appear on screen while typing. This opens up a personalization menu

    Unlocking of these models requires a SIM card inserted (active or inactive)

  1. Turn wireless mode off

  4. Select "SIM card"

  5. Hold the ALT key while typing MEPE. You will not see text appear on screen while typing

  6. You should be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code"

  7. Enter supplied unlock code

  8. After entering the code press the trackball once

  9. Your phone is unlocked


 


Blackberry Curve, 8800, 8300



  1. Turn wireless mode off

  2. While on the home screen click the "Settings" icon

  3. Go to "Options" menu and select "Advanced options"

  5. Hold the ALT key while typing MEPE. You will not see text appear on screen while typing

  6. You should be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code"

  7. Enter supplied unlock code

  9. Your phone is unlocked
    If the unlocking code is entered incorrectly the next attempt to unlock the device will be delayed for 10 seconds increments. The number of unlocking attempts is limited. When this number is reached the phone will be permanently blocked. To unblock such phone, it must be taken to a RIM service centre. No outgoing calls including emergency call is possible when the phone is blocked.

    1. Insert non original SIM card into the device

    2. Power on the phone and turn Wireless Off

    3. Go to "Settings" then "Advanced options"

    4. Go to "SIM card" then press the jogdial to select it

    5. Type MEPP2 while holding Alt, multitap enabled (hold [Alt], type [M] [ER] [OP] [OP] [TY]. Please note that you will not see what you type on the screen.

    6. When prompted with "Enter Network MEP code (255 left)" on the screen, enter the 16-digit network unlock code provided for your phone, then press Enter

    7. Pull the battery out of the phone

    8. Switch the phone on and the phone will be automatically unlocked
      If the unlocking code is entered incorrectly the next attempt to unlock the device will be delayed for 10 seconds increments. The number of unlocking attempts is limited. When this number is reached the phone will be permanently blocked. To unblock such phone, it must be taken to a RIM service centre. No outgoing calls including emergency call is possible when the phone is blocked.





 


Blackberry 7100, 7130



  1. Turn wireless mode off

  2. While on the home screen click the "Tools" icon

  3. Go to "Options" menu

  4. Select "Settings"

  5. Go to "SIM card" then press the jogdial to select it. You should see the phone number and the SIM ID number

  6. Type MEPP2 (not case sensitive). You will not see text appear on screen while typing.
    Press ALT and simultaneously to get number 2.


  7. Enter supplied unlock code

  8. After entering the code press the jog dial

  9. Your phone is unlocked


 


Blackberry 5000 to 8000 series (exclude 7100/7130)



  • Turn wireless mode off

  • Go to "Options" menu

  • Go to "SIM card"then press the jogdial to select it

  • Type MEPD (not case sensitive). You will not see text appear on screen while typing

  • It will say "Network active"

  • Press and hold the ALT key (half moon looking key on the lower left side)

  • While holding the ALT key type in MEPE (not case sensitive). You will not see text appear on screen while typing

  • When prompted enter supplied unlock code

  • After entering the code press the jog dial

  • Your phone is unlocked


 


Blackberry 9800, 9810, 9850, 9860



  • Insert not accepted SIM card in your phone and turn it on.

  • You will be prompted to enter an unlock code (aka MEP or MEP2 or MEP4 Code) (if you don’t have unlock code for blackberry torch 9800 you can get your unlock code here).

  • Click Yes

  • Enter the unlock code and press enter

  • Phone is now UNLOCKED!

  • Reboot device by pulling battery out

  • Go to “Manage Connections” and turn Mobile network on


Method 2 on How to Unlock BlackBerry Torch 9800, 9810, 9850, 9860



  • Ensure a SIM Card is inserted

  • Go to ‘Manage Connections’

  • Click on ‘Turn All Connections Off’

  • Go to ‘Options’

  • Click on ‘Device’

  • Click on ‘Advanced System Settings’

  • Click on ‘SIM Card’

  • Type ‘MEPD’ (NOTE: you might need to type in caps, also letters will not appear on-screen but you will be presented with personalization screen, that will display 5 locks such as network, service provider etc)

  • Type ‘MEP2? (make sure to hold ALT for 2) or hold ALT and type MEPE (NOTE: user will be prompted to enter MEP code)

  • Enter the MEP2 code numbers only (CONFIRM you get “Code Accepted” message)


    • *If you also have a MEP4 code, type ‘MEP4' (you will be prompted to enter MEP code)

    • Enter the MEP4 code (CONFIRM you get “Code Accepted” message)


  • Reboot device by pulling battery out

  • Go to ‘Manage Connections’

  • Click on ‘Restore Connections’

  • Device is now unlocked


 


Blackberry Bold 9900 / 9930



  1. Insert not accepted SIM card in your phone and turn it on.

  2. You will be prompted to enter an unlock code (aka MEP or MEP2 or MEP4 Code) (if you don’t have an unlock code for the bold you can get one here).

  3. Click Yes

  4. Enter the unlock code and press enter

  5. Phone is now UNLOCKED!

  6. Reboot device by pulling battery out

  7. Go to “Manage Connections” and turn Mobile network on


Method 2 on How to Unlock BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930



  1. Ensure a SIM Card is inserted

  2. Go to ‘Manage Connections’

  3. Click on ‘Turn All Connections Off’

  4. Go to ‘Options’

  5. Click on ‘Device’

  6. Click on ‘Advanced System Settings’

  7. Click on ‘SIM Card’

  8. Type ‘MEPD’ (NOTE: you might need to type in caps, also letters will not appear on-screen but you will be presented with personalization screen, that will display 5 locks such as network, service provider etc)

  9. Type ‘MEP2? (make sure to hold ALT for 2) or hold ALT and type MEPE (NOTE: user will be prompted to enter MEP code)

  10. Enter the MEP2 code numbers only (CONFIRM you get “Code Accepted” message)

    • *If you also have a MEP4 code, type ‘MEP4' (you will be prompted to enter MEP code)

    • Enter the MEP4 code (CONFIRM you get “Code Accepted” message)



  11. Reboot device by pulling battery out

  12. Go to ‘Manage Connections’

  13. Click on ‘Restore Connections’

  14. Device is now unlocked


Verizon phones only:  You might need to remove  “Activation Required” on the screen or change the Phone Number to yours by following steps below:



  • Press Call (Green Button) as you would to place a call

  • Type on the screen: ##000000

  • Press the Call Button

  • You will be prompted to the screen with the phone number, change existing phone number to yours

  • Press the Menu Button to Save the options and the phone will automatically restart

  • After restarting, it will be updated
